Math Overview
Chapter 4 Review
Fourth grade students are expected to memorize multiplication and division facts. Fourth grade students are expected to have already mastered their addition and subtraction facts. These basic skills are needed to be successful when learning other concepts such as fractions, percents, and problem solving.
Math Curriculum:
We will be using the My Math Curriculum at North Ward. Students will use a wide variety of materials, both hard copy and online resources, to achieve success for the Common Core math curriculum. Students will have a book to use and complete work in as well as online access to everything we cover in the classroom. As a parent, you also have access to the materials, videos, and worksheets to help with nightly assignments. Students have logins and passwords—the same login and password they use to login to the computers at North Ward except the password has the letter m in front of it. Go to http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com/connected/login.do to login. The focus on math in fourth grade centers around using larger numbers (4 digits and larger), fractions, decimals, multiplication and division problem solving, and measurement
