In reading we did stations about our body. We used a microscope to look at our cheek cells. We also got to look at onion cells, kidney cells, and bunch more. It was fun! In music we had a free day. We played some games and this game was called Musical Freeze. In science we learned about muscles. We did experiments and the picture shows the experiment where we had to figure out which two fingers were connnected. We practiced our Rocket Ship math facts a lot this week. Mrs. Linstead challenged us to pass three tests this week.

This week we were practicing the bones of the body. In this picture students are dragging the names of the bones to the correct spot on the skeleton. We took turns using the pointer to drag the bones to the right spot. Here we were taking the scientific names and finding the right spot for them This was another way to identify the bones. We also played Memory to match the scientific bone names with the common bone names. In Art we are painting Indian corn and outlining with colored pencil. This will make them look like they are real. A group a K-Kids helped make a big Capri Sun box. This will hold the empty Capri Sun Drink Pouches which our schools earns money for. We gathered at the couch to read a book together about bones. We are going to start studying the bones of the body. We have to learn the scientific names of about 30 bones in the body. We will test on these next week and we made a skeleton to help us study those bones.
We had an extra recess today as a reward for no late homework assignments and no pink slips. We finished studying the constitution. We are excited about our 4 day weekend. |
